‘Fear the Walking Dead’: Latest AMC poster plays up basketball, zombies

fear -With us getting closer and closer to the premiere of “Fear the Walking Dead” on AMC, we are starting to get more and more of a sense of what the show’s angle is when it comes to promoting it. They want to take ordinary situations, and then find a way to turn them into something insane courtesy of zombies. Does it make sense? Definitely even if the show is not going to be winning any awards in the near future over what it is doing.

The latest one you can see below, and it is more or less a combination of a walker alongside what seems to be a game of basketball on the street. Color-wise, this is a pretty cool one to look at … but we do feel like something is being left to be desired when it comes to the iconic Los Angeles setting. We prefer the image above, since it comes from a full poster that actually features the iconic Santa Monica Pier. That is something you know as distinctly Los Angeles. Maybe there is some essence of that in this newest art, but it is hardly that specific. The LA skyline is hardly that iconic.

The first of six episodes of the series are going to be airing on August 23, and we will get a chance through this story to see the progression of the zombie apocalypse. Hopefully, through the end of season 1, we will see how many of these survivors got to a place where they are thinking more about how to survive in this new world.

Of course, we’ll have some other updates on “Fear the Walking Dead” soon enough. Stay tuned.
