‘The Bachelor’ spoilers: Ben Higgins reportedly chosen over Ben Zorn, Josh Murray, others

Clearly, ABC is not interested in having a lengthy waiting game in regards to who is going to be the next star of “The Bachelor.” They already seem to have figured it out!

As first reported earlier today by E! News, the likable Ben Higgins from Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season has been chosen over the likes of Ben Zorn, Jared Haibon, and many other contenders who were just on the show to be the lead. We know that Josh Murray had a been contingent of fans out there and may have been interested in the job, but apparently producers were really not that interested in dipping into a past season this time around. It makes some sense when you think about it for a minute; Ben is a part of the highest-rated “Bachelorette” in the past couple of years, and has been portrayed as a caring, extremely likable guy who has avoided most of the drama.

The only person who we feel is missing out on this somewhat is the other Ben, who is not a part of “Bachelor in Paradise” and may now have to (gasp!) go out and try to find love like a normal person. Then again, the more we think about it, the more we imagine that he is going to be just fine and will have virtually zero problem with this at all. He’s far too likable to be completely ignored by the ladies in real life.

While we imagine that Ben H. will get a ton of screen time during the upcoming “Men Tell All” special airing next week (read more about that here), he’s probably also going to be announced at the “After the Final Rose” special. If production has already figured out that he is the next star of the show, why wait?
