‘Rizzoli & Isles’ season 6, episode 4 review: Forgery and one strange case
We really cannot say that we have seen many cases quite like the one we had on tonight’s “Rizzoli & Isles” episode, mostly because it was a combination of so many different things. You had some fun, but also a sad reality that not every case is going to have a happy ending. We went through this entire episode mostly to just find out in the closing minutes that there was not really anyone alive to arrest anymore.
Now, let’s focus on the fun side of things for a minute or two. Who doesn’t love a case that brings out Maura’s love of museums? She took more of an active role in the investigation this week, mostly because of the fact that she knew the art at the center of the case very well. If it wasn’t for her, they would not have been able to detect a fake, and also some onlookers would have suspected that Jane would have accidentally wrecked a real painting. For a time being, it definitely looked like it was possible.
While we moved along to the eventually-sad end of this case, the story with Jane and Angela continues to be entertaining mostly in that this is completely unlike any other mother / daughter relationship out there. What Jane will do to learn the name of the man Angela is dating…
Overall, this was a very solid episode! We have a hard time seeing why there would be any harsh criticism of it, even if the ending of the case was not necessarily what we were hoping for. Grade: B.
