‘Teen Wolf’ season 5 spoilers: Tyler Posey on potential ‘dark place’ ahead for Scott

Monday night, the moment is finally here for “Teen Wolf” fans! The fifth season is going to premiere on MTV, and with that you are hopefully going to see a variety of different events and surprises. For Scott McCall, does this mean a shot at happiness? We are not exactly counting on that. The reality that you have to remember here is that in the world of “Teen Wolf,” there are really not much in the way of hopes for happy endings until we get to the end of the series. The rest of the show would not be so intense if it was devoid of stakes.

“We’ve done everything with Scott’s character in terms of growth, so I feel like the only place he could go now [that he hasn’t gone to] is a dark place. At the end of [5A], he gets beaten down. He gets to a pretty depressing state, so maybe that could transcend into something dark.”

By the time we get to the end of season 5, maybe we will have even more of a sense both on who Scott has become, and also where the entire story of the show could go from here. We do feel pretty passionately that we are at the point in the show’s run now where they have to start thinking about the endgame, at least to a certain extent. Let’s hope that they start moving close to that particular wavelength.
