‘Game of Thrones’ season 5, episode 8 spoilers: Kit Harrington teases ‘Handhome’ battle

Jon Snow -Sunday night’s episode of “Game of Thrones” may have a variety of different scenes and character interactions, but almost half of it may constitute one of the most action-packed scenes that you’ve ever seen. It places Jon Snow once again front and center just as we had last season for “The Watchers on the Wall,” and it also should be something that further shows the full scope and scale of the world that HBO and the executive producers have created. If this show did not have the success that it does, there is virtually no way that something like this would even be remotely possible.

In setting up what this sequence will be in tonight’s “Handhome,” let’s go to the star of it in Kit Harrington. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, he makes it clear that this is one of the hardest things that he has ever done while stating the following:

“It was three to four weeks of shooting for a sequence that should add up to [more than] 20 minutes … We shot less than a minute a day! It’s unlike anything I’ve ever done on Thrones. I think it’s going to be spectacular.”

Now, we just have to hope that it ties into almost everything else taking place in the episode, given that we are still in some ways struggling to see just where the Wildlings are going to fit in to the grand scheme of things with this show. Jon realizes their value, but he has to get a way to break many out of preconceived notions that may have for Wildlings and members of the Night’s Watch working together.
