‘The Fall’ season 3: What does Jamie Dornan know?

The FallAt the moment, Jamie Dornan is clearly a busy man. He’s got his fantastic role as Paul on “The Fall,” some other various film projects, and of course there is the “Fifty Shades of Grey” franchise that many know him for at the moment.

Given that this article is about the BBC Two series (which airs in America on Netflix), we’ll stay mostly focused on that. At the end of season 2 Paul was shot, and that left things very much ambiguous as to the character’s future. We even wondered for a time whether or not his burgeoning career would lead to him not returning for another go. What we really do love about him as a performer, though, is that it has seemingly had no impact on his choices or his personality. He does present a very lovely reminder in a new GoldDerby interview that he is in fact coming back for another season of the show, but he is still very much in the early stages of planning for it. As a matter of fact, he only recently spoke to creator Allan Cubitt for the first time in a while to get some information about what the future may hold.

What we know is that thanks to the wonderful free nature of British television, there is no concrete timeline on the future of “The Fall.” Dornan and Gillian Anderson are incredibly busy, but they will get around to making more of the show when their schedule allows. This also gives Cubitt some more time to pen some of the episodes himself and give them the right touch.
