‘Britain’s Got Talent’ results: Did Entity Allstars, Henry Gallagher, Côr Glanaethwy advance to final?
The first “Britain’s Got Talent” results show arrived on Monday night with at least some serious tension. We assumed after the performances that Welsh choir Côr Glanaethwy was probably going to be sent through immediately to the next round, but after that we could have some competition for the #2 spot. Dance group Entity Allstars was memorable despite performing first (never a great placement), and then you had Billy and Emily England, Henry Gallagher, Becky O’Brien, and if the British public was in a crazy move, maybe they voted for Lorraine Bowen or the balloon-popping dog.
One thing we didn’t really love is the show revealing the entire placement of all of the acts; maybe they’ve always done this, but we don’t remember them doing it. Basically, what we learned through this is that a dog popping balloons, coupled with a crazy lady singing about space. Bowen actually did finish in fourth place! The choir advanced to the next round as a result of the public vote, and what we found the funniest about this is that they couldn’t even bring everyone out on stage since there are so many members.
In the end, it was a debate between Entity Allstars and Henry Gallagher as to who would advance. Alesha Dixon of course chose to support Entity Allstars, while David went with Henry. Simon Cowell could have taken it to a tie after Amanda Holden went with Entity, but the dance group moves on.
We are sad for Henry, but we feel like what probably hurt him tonight was doing the same song as his first audition.
