‘Survivor: Worlds Apart’ finale preview: The family visit returns!
While family visits are good at times and make for compelling television, they’re not so interesting to write about. What is to us is trying to figure out just in the world is going to happen in the final tribal councils of the season. Obviously, for Mike it is a cut-and-dry situation: If he makes it to the end, he wins. Carolyn is in a relatively similar situation if Mike gets voted out, though she may still need to make some good jury arguments.
Both Mike and Mama C interestingly are the two remaining contestants up for “Second Chance” voting, and we feel like it is a fair question to wonder whether or not a conclusion without the two of them winning is a good one. In some ways, we could argue that a Sierra or a Rodney win would be interesting. For Sierra, it would be a lesson to show how someone like Will can completely lose the game for his behavior; with Rodney, it would just be a way to prove yet again that you can be a big character and still win. Tony Vlachos and Natalie Anderson obviously have already proven that for two straight seasons.
Meanwhile, Will’s not winning. There’s no reason to worry about that.
There are so many fascinating stories that could come out of the finale, whether it is something like Shirin’s jury speech if Will is still in the game, Rodney talking about his lack of rewards, or Mike’s ultimate underdog story.
