‘Survivor: Worlds Apart’ finale rankings: Can Mike Holloway pull off the win?

Mike -Trying to rank the final five contestants on “Survivor: Worlds Apart” is no easy task, mostly because you have a variety of different factors to wager. You have to think about not only who is in the right position to make it to the end, but also who can win in the event that you actually get there. To us, the real secret to victory here is probably going to be who can secure the votes of Hali, Jenn, Joe, and Shirin. They will most likely vote in a block, and if you can get them, you only need one more vote and victory is assured.

So with this sort of information in mind, let’s try to sift through what in our mind has to be one of the more complicated final fives in recent history. There are some clear favorites to win if they make it to the end, but they also have the most difficult road ahead.

5. Will Sims II – It’s almost assured that he will place third on the season. There is zero reason to vote him out since nobody is going to give him a vote at the end. Nobody. We’re mostly just waiting for Shirin’s jury speech at this point.

4. Rodney Lavoie Jr. – Rodney has grown on us throughout the season; maybe it’s because of the impressions he’s posted on social media. With all of his birthday-whining lately we don’t exactly think he’s going to be respected much by the jury, but the idea of him answering jury questions is tremendous.

3. Mike Holloway – He’s two immunity challenges away from a million bucks. It’s as simple as that. Winning those is no easy feet, but we do think the odds of him doing that are probably higher than the odds of either Rodney or Will making it to the end and actually winning.

2. Carolyn Rivera – Carolyn’s played a really great game, but the problem that we see for her is that if Mike wins immunity, she goes home next. We don’t see any other way around that. Even if Mike goes home next, she still has to win immunity to make it to the final three. She most likely wins if she gets to the end against Rodney, Dan, or potentially Sierra, but she has a tricky road.

1. Sierra Dawn Thomas – Maybe we’ll get flack for thinking that Sierra is in a wonderful spot to win this game, but unless immunity challenges don’t go the way of her alliance, her road there feels pretty assured. If Mike and Carolyn are the next two out, she wins. She even has a great argument in that her move was not making moves, and ensuring that she took people to the end that she could beat. Given the fractured state of the Carolyn / Shirin relationship, we do not necessarily see it as too great of a longshot that she could contend with Carolyn at the end.
