‘Game of Thrones’ season 5, episode 6 preview: Lady Olenna returns!

Olenna -We should make it no secret at all that we love Lady Olenna Tyrell on “Game of Thrones.” Not only is Diana Rigg phenomenal in the role, but she is the behind-the-scenes mover-and-shaker that in so many ways Cersei Lannister wishes that she could be. Granted, Cersei is a little more focused on superficial matters, while we feel that for the most part, Olenna really wants to keep the focus a little bit more on politics.

The attached photo for Sunday night’s new episode does not give away much of anything when it comes to the context of the story, though we do know that Olenna is finally back, and will hopefully have her voice heard once again! The stakes for her are certainly large in King’s Landing now, given Cersei’s role in having the High Sparrow and his men arrest Loras for being a homosexual. Obviously, the irony here is huge given that Cersei’s children are a product of incest, and while we do not know if the Queen of Thorns will take things to that level, she will most likely ensure that House Tyrell has their voice heard over this.

Given how smart Olenna is, and also how frequently under-estimated, we would say that there is a definite reason at the moment for Cersei to be afraid. After all, one wrong move here could mean trouble.

In addition to Olenna’s return, expect to head south for a key story in Dorne. Everything that you have started to see about the Sand Snakes is about to rise to the surface in a big way.
