‘The Good Wife’ season 7 spoilers: Will Carrie Preston return?

We have not exactly had a whole lot of great news to report lately when it comes to “The Good Wife“; specifically, what we’ve been discussing for the past 24 hours is the super-sad revelation that Julianna Margulies and Archie Panjabi for some reason did  not film their final scene of the show together in the same room. We’re still bummed out about it, but at the same time we also realize that there is only so much that we can say about it at this point.

So with that, let’s turn to one of our more enjoyable subjects of conversation when it comes to this show: Guest stars! Specifically, will we see Elsbeth again? One of the real issues for Carrie Preston has always been availability more than anything else, given that she had a job for many years on “True Blood,” and she is now joining the new NBC series “Crowded.”

Based on what she told E! News in a new interview, though, she very much does want to make it back on the show at some point. We presume that the writers of “The Good Wife” share the sentiment. They all just have to find the right venue to make this appearance happen, and then make sure it makes sense for all parties involved.

We imagine that we are going to also see a variety of other familiar recurring faces, as well. Michael J. Fox is consistently great on the series, and we’re hoping for more from Matthew Goode. The show returns in the fall, so we shall see what transpires!
