‘Law & Order: SVU’ season 16 finale spoilers: More on Mariska Hargitay story
We are starting to get near the end of “Law & Order: SVU” season 16, and come May 20, the story will come to an end with a story entitled “Surrendering Noah.” Unfortunately, that means more trouble for Benson’s foster son, which is a similar sort of issue that we saw for the character in the premiere. Unfortunately for her, the stakes could reach another level mostly because of the child’s involvement in a current case that she is working.
We have for you the short synopsis for this episode below, but at the same time we should warn you that there is something else important that is left out of here: The fact that Mariska Hargitay’s character could also be scoring a promotion to Lieutenant in the near future. Take a look:
“Sgt. Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and ADA Barba (Raúl Esparza) take Johnny D (guest star Charles Halford) to trial for sex trafficking, rape, assault and kidnapping. But when Baby Noah’s adoption becomes entangled in the case, Benson fears for Noah’s future and his safety. In an intense courtroom showdown, the SVU will face a threat that could change the squad forever.”
Given that there has been a 17th season renewal issued for the show for quite a long time, that means that the writers have had plenty of time in order to craft the perfect ending for this season … and it could very well be a cliffhanger. We don’t believe that Noah is in serious danger, mostly because depriving Benson of that at this point in the show would be too cruel. However, there is still potential for a variety of other potentially-insane twists and turns.

If this episode causes any deaths to anyone but Mariska(and we know that won’t happen)someone needs to get this show off NBC. Kelli Giddish, Danny Pino , Ice-T, Raul Esparza and Peter Scanavino are all more important to the show than Baby Noah. Since nobody can count on the sanity of NBC to do anything intelligent anymore(they renewed Mysteries of Laura, RIGHT?) I feel that something horrible is in the offing. Next season will be Warren Leight’s LAST as show runner, so there is a good chance that next season could be it for SVU. I hope I’m wrong, but this is NBC(Nothing But Clowns, Nothing But Clueless, Nothing But Crap, NETWORK!)

Yes, Kelli Giddish is on a show that unfortunately happens to be on a network that treats like garbage. Kelli Giddish is one of the only reasons to keep watching this show. Everybody knows you worship everything Mariska Hargitay does. You’re old news already. NBC showed its true colors by not offering any kind of decent money to Danny Pino and continuing to pay Debra Messing and Melissa Joan Hart insane money for a show that deserved to be cancelled. If FOX had put EMPIRE up against The Mysteries of Laura, Laura probably would done below a 0.5 I know that what you really want is the Det. Benson and Baby Noah show. Why not suggest it to NBC?
