‘Britain’s Got Talent’ preview: Are the Neales bringing doo-wop back?
We should start this particular “Britain’s Got Talent” article with the following message: We hate family bands the majority of the time. It’s almost always hokey, and the sort of thing you’d see at some local talent show and not necessarily somewhere that you would actually pay to see entertainment.
However, the sneak peek below proves that theory at least somewhat wrong, since the Neales are actually pretty awesome. We love doo-wop music, and that is probably one of the reasons why we do really enjoy this performance. They have great harmonies and seem to really have good chemistry for a group that really has not performed very much publicly. That hasn’t stopped a few other acts from the show from doing very well; look at the results last year!
One of the other things that is nice about these guys is that they are the sort of band who really does need all four members to create these harmonies, which should help to keep Simon Cowell or one of the other judges from hitting them with the typical “the older guy has to go” argument we hear so much of the time.
We don’t think you have anything to worry about here at all when it comes to whether or not these guys go through; of course they will! The bigger mystery is what will happen to them when they inevitably make it to the live rounds, and the surprise factor of them being good is gone away and they have stacked competition.
