‘The Good Wife’ season 6 spoilers: Archie Panjabi not done entirely with series
Just in case you thought that Kalinda was done officially with “The Good Wife,” we now come bearing this news: You are going to see Archie Panjabi at least one more time before season 6 is over.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, showrunners Robert and Michelle King confirmed the news for the finale, but declined to say if it was an appearance in the present, the past, or the future. Either way, this is a way for longtime fans to get some closure on Kalinda after she up and left Chicago last night after realizing how she could be a target following Bishop’s arrest. She seemingly left behind a note for Alicia Florrick, and that was it … and no scene between her and Julianna Margulies like so many have hoped to see over the years.
Robert King did explain a little more about Kalinda’s upcoming appearance, even if he did not promise anything in particular:
“[The finale] answers a lot of questions regarding Kalinda, which I think there will be some mystery about. Has she truly left the show? Or are there still beats to be handled with, or story elements to be handled with her? So [the finale] answers the question of Kalinda for the year.”
Panjabi is hopefully going to have her own project on the air soon, and she certainly deserves it. While “The Good Wife” is to us one of the finest dramas on network television, they really have not done this character right in a few seasons now. She disappears for long stretches, and it feels like severing her relationship with Alicia was a big mistake.
