‘Chicago Fire’ season 3, episode 20 preview: Mills, back in action

Chicago Fire -Just when you think that you are finally out of the snow and the terrible winter weather, “Chicago Fire” serves as yet another chilling reminder of it so bundle up! We give this show a ton of credit for actually filming on location; it adds so much to the authenticity to actually see people out in this world, dealing with the elements while also taking on rescue missions.

Now that we’ve done our job pouring on the praise, let’s get into the meat of Tuesday night’s new episode, which is basically the only normal episode of the show you’re getting this month. (Previously, we had the backdoor pilot for “Chicago Med.”)

1. The rescue – In terms of story significance, almost nothing here matters. Visually, though, it is one of the most impressive things that the crew has filmed to date, so congrats to them on getting this properly set up.

2. Mills is back – The second sneak peek is visual and rescue-based, as well, but important in a different way: Mills is back out on the squad, which mostly means that we will spend most of the episode petrified of when the next terrible thing could happen to him. Seriously, this is a guy who seems to have one horrible thing after the next happen to him. Why can’t he just catch a break already? Maybe he will as we get closer to the end of the season.

This rescue is impressive to watch, as well, even if it does not have the tension of a man being hung in the middle of the air, while surrounded by a snowstorm.
