‘Supernatural’ season 10, episode 19 preview: Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles’ story in ‘The Werther Project’

Are you read to see something great on “Supernatural” next week? While we cannot specifically emphasize the merits of next week’s “The Werther Project” just yet, it does at least seem to be a very strong episode on paper. The story of the Mark of Cain is continuing, and this episode will revolve around Sam and Dean Winchester trying to find another way to get rid of this for good. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem on paper like they are going to have the help of either Charlie or Castiel this time around, unless they are just being hidden in the synopsis below:

“Sam (Jared Padalecki) learns that former Men of Letters, Magnus, once built a magical box and Sam sets out to find it in the hopes it can cure Dean (Jensen Ackles) of the Mark of Cain. However, what he’s not prepared for is the deadly alarm system Magnus set up on the box. When Sam opens the box, he puts both his and Dean’s life in danger.”

When will this Cain story actually be over? It’s a good question, since it really first started to rise to the surface last season. We would think that the finale would be a good place to wrap things up, but who knows if that will actually happen for sure? It is giving Ackles in particular some great material, and giving both him and Padalecki some real stakes to play off of.

With that being said, there can always be another problem for Sam and Dean to tackle. There always is.
