‘Criminal Minds’ season 10, episode 21 preview: The story of ‘Mr. Scratch’

Tonight’s “Criminal Minds” episode provided a pretty great opportunity to see a thing or two more when it comes to Hotch, his story in the present, and a little bit of the story of his past. It is rather revealing to learn a thing or two more about his relationship with his father-in-law, and whether or not there is any real chance at redemption for these two characters.

Given that this show rarely does bring us two similar things in a row, you really should not be altogether shocked to find out that the series is plotting something very different for “Mr. Scratch,” the episode that will air on CBS next week. In case you have not seen the synopsis just yet, take a look at it below:

“When three people implicated in murders claim they were attacked by a “clawed shadow monster” at the moment each crime occurred, the BAU searches for an UnSub who is controlling their minds. Also, the search for the culprit puts one of the team in jeopardy.”

Series star Matthew Gray Gubler is directing this one, which definitely has the potential to be really chaotic and also a little bit scary. Is it somewhat of a bummer that there is nothing altogether personal when it comes to these characters in the synopsis? Sure, but that is something we are used to not really getting in these. More often than not, we just have to take a wait-and-see approach.
