‘Reign’ season 2 spoilers: First look at Adelaide Kane, cast in ‘Abandoned’

Let us start this article by breaking out the bad news: There is no new episode of “Reign” airing on The CW, and the same goes for next week. The series is going to return in two weeks on April 16, and the biggest thing in terms of what to expect here is a chance to see how Mary reacts to Conde’s move, which could ultimately drift the two further and further apart.

This story will carry over directly to the April 23 episode, which carries with it the title of “Abandoned.” That doesn’t sound very good, now does it? The synopsis below gives you a little more insight into what to expect, with the biggest things being Mary having to make some big moves with France in order to keep herself properly afloat. England is currently casting a huge shadow, and given that Queen Elizabeth is coming by the end of the season, you should know that they are not going away anytime soon.

“Mary (Adelaide Kane), with the threat of England looming, aligns herself with France and thus, the ailing Francis (Toby Regbo). Condé (Sean Teale) makes a bold move that would tie him to England. With all of the turmoil, Catherine (Megan Follows) and Narcisse (Craig Parker) work to win favor in court. Meanwhile, Kenna (Caitlin Stasey) gets closer to General Renaude (guest star Vincent Nappo) as Bash (Torrance Coombs) becomes increasingly distant.”
