ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 4, episode 18 preview: Is there tension between Emily and Ben?

While we didn’t quite assume that Ben and Emily were going to be endgame on “Revenge,” did you see the two hitting a rough patch this early? We’re not quite so sure that we did!

In the sneak peek below from Sunday night’s new installment, though, you can get a very good idea as to what is going on here. Specifically, Ben is upset that Emily is going around and changing her testimony, without really cluing him in about it in advance. We understand here almost where both parties are coming from. When it comes to Emily, for example, she needs to figure out whether or not she wants any more literal or metaphorical blood on her hands given what happened with Margaux, but Ben’s own career could be at risk based on what she decides to do. She is very great at thinking for her own self-interest, but not so great when it comes to other people.

Unfortunately, what this promo does not do is give us further information on a question that is haunting many at the moment: Whether or not Emily is just finally going to admit to the world that she is actually Amanda Clarke. We’ve wanted to hear that proclamation for a long time now, and while the promos look like it is going to happen, we’ll believe it when we see it. Haven’t we all been tricked from time to time with this show already?

If Emily and Ben break up, we just want to hope that this is great news for Jack, given that he has already made his feelings clear.
