‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 6 spoilers: creator Marlene King reveals premiere title
The time for waiting is over … at least when it comes to learning the title for the “Pretty Little Liars” season 6 premiere. In a most on Twitter, creator Marlene King showed off that the name for this particular installment is “Game On Charles,” which is pretty darn important when you consider what we had tonight on the finale.
In this episode, we learned that Charles is the name of “Big A,” or at least the villain who has seemingly taken on the persona since Mona was clean about her alter ego seasons ago. Not too much is definitely known about this character yet. We surmised that he may have been referenced in a season 2 episode as Charles Lang, and there are already countless other theories out there regarding who he is, what his history is with the Liars and Mona, and what his ultimate endgame is. Based on the home movie we saw, we feel like it is pretty likely that his family ties to the DiLaurentis clan run very deep, and that is a motivating factor for trying to destroy them and everything they care about.
Production is already underway in Los Angeles for season 6 of the series, which should begin on ABC Family at some point in June. We’ll probably get a firm premiere date over the next month or two.
In case you had not heard, this will not be the final season of the show coming up. Instead, the series is at least planning to run until season 7. We’ll have to see ultimately if that sticks, but for the time being, it feels like this is the way in which the show wants to do things.
