‘Glee’ series finale: Darren Criss, Dianna Agron, Matthew Morrison, and more fun memories

Blaine -With tonight being the series finale of “Glee,” one of the fun things that we thought we would do now at the conclusion of the episode is a share a variety of the fun tributes that are taking place across the internet by the cast for what was ultimately quite a sensation. These cast members may be around the world right now doing everything from promotional appearances to doing new projects, but they all are clearly still grateful in their own way for the time that they had on Fox.

What’s fun about some of the tweets below is that they come from everyone, whether it be one of the show’s biggest stars to the almost-always-silent piano guy who really chewed up the screen time near the start of the season. Everyone took something away from this show, and while we’ve all made snarky comments in the TV industry about the show’s recent ratings, it is nice to see that it got an ending that was on its own terms and not something that was done away with due to low ratings. Fox, if nothing else, earns goodwill for both this show and also for “Fringe.” They were very kind to both.

So where do many of these actors go from here? Let’s go through a list of some we know already have secured some other great gigs elsewhere.

Lea Michele – At present, she is filming “Scream Queens,” the new Ryan Murphy series for Fox.

Chris Colfer – He has some movie projects, and then also more and more books in the near future.

Darren Criss and Matthew Morrison – Both guys are returning to Broadway for new, exciting roles.

Jane Lynch – She already has a new role in a potential CBS comedy pilot.

As for most of the regulars, the jury is still out. The major absences during tonight’s finale were mostly people who only appeared in a season or two. Melissa Benoist was in the press release, and she may have been in the back row near the end. (It was hard to make out.) Damian McGinty and Grant Gustin are two of the more notable omissions, but they both had other commitments.
