‘Jane the Virgin’ finale spoilers: The earliest of teases about love triangle, surprises

“Jane the Virgin” has certainly had quite the run for itself on The CW this year. It has been at times funny, at times sentimental, but more than anything else, it is a show that has always had a ton of passion behind almost every move.

With all of this in mind, we certainly expect to see all of this continuing into the finale, even though there is a little bit of time still to go before we make it there. The series was at PaleyFest to discuss anything and everything over the weekend, and we know that there is one question many have at the moment: Is there going to be some major movement when it comes to the Rafael – Jane – Michael love triangle? According to executive producer Jennie Urman (per Entertainment Weekly), there will be some more twists and turns that are present there. In addition to that, there will be some major twists and turns with the show in general:

“We’ve been building to what the season finale is all season, and I think it’s going to be pretty exciting for everybody … Every character has a major turn that happens, and we’re going to be leaving them in very different places than they started.”

There has to be a sort of luxury that comes with the fact that this show already has a season 2 renewal. Therefore, the writers can focus on telling the best long-term story that they can, and there is no temptation to really wrap things up come May, feeling like it is possible that the show may not return.
