‘Blue Bloods’ season 5 spoilers: Method Man to bring presence to final two episodes

Blue Bloods season 5While “Blue Bloods” is for the most part a heavy procedural, it appears that the show on CBS will be shaking things up, at least to a certain extent, for their upcoming season 5 finale.

According to a new report coming in right now from TVline, singer / rapper Clifford Smith, who you may otherwise know as Method Man, is going to be appearing in the final two episodes of the show’s fifth season. Specifically, he will play the part of Mario Hunt, a member of the Warrior Kings gang. After one of the leaders of the gang and his wife are found dead, Hunt is brought in for questioning. However, let’s just say that he is not exactly the most cooperative person of all time with the authorities.

You can expect to see a number of good scenes here featuring Method Man and the rest of the cast, and we say this with one significant thing in mind: If there was not some tremendous material for Method Man, why join the show? There wouldn’t be any real reason for him to do so, since he’s capable of taking on some meaty roles.

There are still some further episodes of “Blue Bloods” to get through before the finale, and those will probably be a little more procedural in nature … or at least we would tend to think so. The show has not been officially renewed just yet for a sixth season, but we feel like it is, for the most part, pretty likely.
