‘Suits’ season 4 finale spoilers: Another look at Mike and Rachel’s story

Wednesday night, the end of the road is here for “Suits” season 4, and it will be coming with what seems to be a pretty mysterious episode in “Not Just a Pretty Face.” With Sean Cahill returning, it feels almost like this episode is borrowing as much from the first half of the season as the second, and it also feels as though we could be getting some potential tension between Mike and Rachel.

So what could this tension be about? The synopsis for the episode suggests that much of it could involve Harvey, and how he continues to treat Mike like more of his #2, even though Rachel is technically an Associate and she has worked the right away in order to get it. If this turns out to be one of those “bringing back Mike’s lack of credentials” stories, we’re actually fine with that. It makes sense for people in real life to deal with multiple ramifications of the same problem, and this is not something that goes away. These two should have to contend with this more.

With this being said, we hope that we don’t go down the breakup route again. We’ve already experienced that once, and we don’t want to see the two looking for anyone else.

As a matter of fact, one question that we do have for these two characters going into the finale is rather simple: Is there a time coming when we could see Mike really make the next step in their relationship? We would actually be very interested in seeing what an engagement or a wedding would look like in this world, mostly because so many characters often opt for aggression over romance.
