‘NCIS’ season 12, episode 15 video: Gibbs learns about Sergei’s new goal

Tuesday night’s “NCIS” episode “Cabin Fever” looks to be intense, and there is one primary reason why: The return of Sergei. This man has functioned as the de-factor Big Bad over the past several episodes of the season; being responsible for the death of Diane is one of the real ways to earn yourself that title.

In the sneak peek video below, you can see the evidence that Sergei is at it again, and this is very unfortunate news for Gibbs. Mark Harmon’s character will discover that Sergei, almost like the show’s version of Slade Wilson from “Arrow,” wants to slowly take away from him everything that he loves and every person close to him. This bomb scene is evidence that he is not giving up, and many are going to be in danger.

Is Fornell one of these said people? We have to assume so, since this could be one of the justifications why Gibbs decides to take him to an isolated cabin in this episode, as highlighted in many of the other promos. He could be trying to protect him from being killed off, and in the process, maybe the two parties get to talking further, and Gibbs is able to help him with his current state of panic, grief, rage, or any other emotion that he has crammed inside his head at this particular moment.
