‘Beauty and the Beast’ season 4 spoilers: When will show start filming?
Who knew that The CW was going to start becoming like a cable network? It was lovely news to learn that “Beauty and the Beast” was renewed for a fourth season, even if we weren’t expecting it! This (renewing a show early) is the sort of move that tends to happen for a cable network who wants to show in advance that they really support the show.
As we said yesterday, we feel like this is a measure of good faith, and also a reminder that this series is extremely popular overseas. There is no need to worry during the third season about the show’s future! One thing we didn’t mention yesterday is that we’ve heard The CW really wants to deliver something huge in the summer of 2016 in terms of new programming, and they may want to have this as a part of the schedule.
So for those wondering, we know already when production is going to begin for the remaining new episodes: June! This is what co-executive producer / frequent director Stuart Gillard wrote on his Twitter page after the renewal was announced. We suppose that this is just the easiest time period for production, and they can have the episodes in the can just in case the network decides to air them a little earlier than late spring / early summer next year. Typically, network shows film only a couple of months or so before they start to air.
The third season of the show premieres on May 21, and the primary story there is going to be all about Vincent and Cat working to solve supernatural problems in New York, while also balancing their relationship.
