‘State of Affairs’ finale spoilers: What will happen to Katherine Heigl, cast?

State of Affairs -While next week may very well end up being the last episode of “State of Affairs” that airs on NBC, we can definitely say right now that it appears that the network is going to go all-out in order to make this story a good one.

The promo below spells it out well for you: Charlie is willing to give up her job in order to find the man who is responsible for almost everything at the heart of her character, and this is a mission that could involve everything from violence to danger to even betrayal. Charlie is known for being able to handle almost anything, but even this may be a little much for her. Expect plenty of twists and turns along the way.

Take a look at the synopsis below if you want to know even more details:

“With the President’s support and her 7th floor team backing her, Charlie (Katherine Heigl) quits the CIA in order to try and keep her promise of tracking down and killing Omar Fatah (guest star Farshad Farahat) before he and Ar Rissalah can continue their devastating attacks on the homeland. Meanwhile, President Payton (Alfre Woodard) faces adversity after Victor Gantry (guest star Adam Arkin), the head of TKG, threatens to tell the public that Sheikh Hakam doesn’t exist. David Patrick (David Harbour), unaware of the TKG meetings, threatens to quit after being left in the dark and the 7th floor team gathers to do whatever they can to help Charlie, who is off the grid, halfway across the world.”

So will this show manage to tie together its story? We feel like the move here is to give us a conclusion that is somewhat definitive, while still making it clear that there is a little bit of a cliffhanger for the future if by some surprising measure the show is renewed.
