‘Chicago PD’ season 2, episode 13 review: Will Sophia Bush’s Lindsay keep dating Halstead?

Things have not been going that well for Lindsay on “Chicago PD”. She was very excited to be brought into a special task force and even though she’s proven her worth to them fairly early on (with the help of her old team), the higher ups still see her as a no body and are giving her menial tasks like taking someone’s wife out for shopping or getting their nails done: Not exactly what Lindsay had in mind when she accepted this position. Pile on top of that her move to get romantically involved with Halstead and Lindsay’s head must be swimming with self doubt. We were not surprised to see her come back to her old position back on Voight’s team, but what will this mean for her and Halstead now that they have crossed that line romantically?

As much as we want to dive right into our main characters and what’s happening this week on the show, we have to mention that the “case of the week” is actually a crossover from “Chicago Fire”. We learned that the fire Leslie Shay died in was actually set on purpose and while the Chicago Fire department have a suspect in mind named Adrian Gish, they need the help of the Chicago PD to help find conclusive evidence to put him away and get some closure for Leslie. So were they ever able to catch Gish in the act and put him away? He was caught, but he was also killed so no jail for him.

So what’s going to happen wit Lindsay and Halstead? Lindsey wants to keep seeing him but keep it quiet, but Halstead wants to just come clean to Voight about the whole thing. We’ve seen Kim not be promoted by Voight because they have a relationship with another cop at the station so we are kind of siding with Halstead on this one.

We are always excited when shows do cross overs and we weren’t let down here. This was a smooth transition between the two and gave more then enough story to give each show it’s proper due while still feeling connected. Episode grade: B
