‘Supernatural’ season 10 spoilers: A Jensen Ackles-centric episode; a ‘Downton Abbey’ guest
There are seemingly some fun times ahead on “Supernatural” season 10, at least so long as you appreciate storylines that think a little bit outside of the box.
Personally, we’re beyond excited for “About a Boy,” which is the February 3 installment that should be a great episode for the Dean character. Not only will Jensen Ackles get to do his thing, but he is also going to see his character transform back into the way he was back when he was 14. This is the sort of episode that we really love “Supernatural” for, mostly because it’s the sort of imaginative hour that we could go back and watch at any time with a smile on our face. Also, it helps that we have Mrs. Patmore from “Downton Abbey” in Lesley Nicol guest-starring in a role that couldn’t be more different from what she’s known for.
Take a look at the official synopsis below:
“Looking to get Dean (Jensen Ackles) out of the bunker, Sam (Jared Padalecki) finds a case for him and Dean to investigate – people are disappearing into thin air with only their clothes left behind. Sam and Dean suspect fairies or angels, but the truth turns out to be much more shocking – Hansel (guest star Mark Acheson), from Hansel and Gretel lore, is kidnapping people and turning them into their younger selves to placate the evil witch (guest star Lesley Nicol). Unfortunately, Dean finds this information out the hard way after he becomes Hansel’s next victim and reverts to his 14 year old self.”
We hope we get a few more of these classic monster-of-the-week episodes later this season. We haven’t found the main plot as interesting since the Demon Dean part of it ended, so we’re down to see more of what this show has done since the very beginning.

Episodes 10, 11, 12 ,13, 14 and 15 are all Dean centric actually. 12 is the only episode that Jensen had time off for the rest are Dean heavy. Jared was off for the filming of most of them and even had days off for episode 12. There are no Sam centric episodes this season I’m sure Dean fans will be pleased to know.

‘Zoolander face’ cracked me up! No, Jensen isn’t the best actor in the world and, yeah, he’s gettin older, but spn is still a great show. Hahahahah Zoolander Face! He does do that blue steel thing alot.

“Jensen’s acting.” Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha . . . is THAT what you call making Zoolander face at the camera and faking that ridiculous deep voice?

Do you even watch the show? Jensen has evolved to be one fine actor. He is believable and shows a great range. His voice is naturally deep and he does lower it slightly to make some distinction between him and Dean. He can’t help his model good looks….that too comes naturally.

Why is it a Jensen Ackles-centric episode when Jensen will have very little screen time in this one? Another actor will play 14 years old Dean. That’s why I’m not excited for this episode, because there will be not enough of Jensen’s acting.
