‘Reign’ season 2 spoilers: Will Mary help Conde escape?

You’ve been waiting for a while for the latest on “Reign,” and even though there is not a new episode airing on The CW until Thursday, January 22, why not take a look at some of the first details from it? The network released earlier this week the full synopsis for the episode “Getaway,” and it hints at Mary making a bold rescue attempt for the sake of Conde.

Also, you are going to see Francis devise a plan of his own in the hour, along with some more of Catherine’s secrets and what she has in store for some of the other characters. Take a look below:

“Mary (Adelaide Kane) takes action to save Condé (Sean Teale) when she learns the Vatican is hunting him for bearing the branded mark of the Dark Riders. Francis (Toby Regbo) devises a plan to put an end to the Dark Riders legend, which puts Bash (Torrance Coombs) at risk. Meanwhile, Kenna (Caitlin Stasey) reveals Catherine’s (Megan Follows) ulterior motives to Claude (Rose Williams).”

While this may be a drama, we still feel that what this story really needs right now above anything else is its fair share of lighter moments. After the rape scene, everything has felt extremely dark and serious, and that is a difficult thing for even us to get over as a viewer. It’s incredibly hard to think of how this is impacting a character like Mary.

As we get closer to this episode airing, we plan on having some additional scoop. Stay tuned.
