‘How to Get Away with Murder’ spoilers: What’s next for Connor, Oliver?

What makes “How to Get Away with Murder” such an interesting show, or at least one aspect of it, is watching just how many different storylines get twisted about in bizarre, exciting directions, and seemingly all around the same turning point.

In the context of this show, that big turning point is almost certainly the death of Sam. Everyone is reacting to the news in their own way, and we will continue to see that play out now that we actually have everyone operating in the present.

So for Connor, how are we going to see things between him and Oliver play out now? We know that they have an interesting past, and him making a huge lie about being a drug user to cover up anything related to Sam.

Well, based on what executive producer Pete Nowald says to Entertainment Weekly, this is an issue he is going to have to deal with now:

“Seeing what happened that night and how scared Connor is now, the things he cared about before in his life, he might not care so much about, i.e. sleeping with every guy that he meets,” showrunner Pete Nowalk says. “We’ll see how Connor is different post-murder night and specifically how he’s different in relation to Oliver.”

One other issue for the entire group? The fact that the Lila Stangard murder is now necessarily solved. While Sam may no longer be alive, there was also not definitive proof out there that he was the one responsible for the murder.
