‘Parks and Recreation’ season 7 spoilers: See Amy Poehler, the future in first promo
The new season of “Parks and Recreation” is debuting on NBC early next year, and if the first promo released by the network is any indication, it looks like there could be quite a fun season coming up.
More than anything else, the new season seems to be very intent on giving us a sense of what the future will be in 2017. Who would’ve thought that this would be the show to pick up on themes left by “The Jetsons”? Within this brief promo, there are several extremely-funny things that we pick up on.
1. Apparently, more and more people are picking up on that drone program Amazon popularized, and it makes Leslie and Ben want to jump into bed together.
2. Tom is now a mogul, which sounds like something that Tom would say even if he wasn’t a mogul.
3. Andy is now the host of a children’s show, which seems to be completely up his alley. We’re just glad that Chris Pratt agreed to come back to finish up the movie.
4. April has a pretty cool tablet!
This season will in the end be about the characters, and hopefully, be hilarious at the same time. We consider this to be the last remnant of NBC’s golden age of comedy, which included “The Office,” “Community,” and “30 Rock.” Granted, “Community” is going to air new episodes on Yahoo, but these are all shows that should have deserved better ratings than they received during their peak years.
