‘True Detective’ season 2 spoilers: ‘The Bridge,’ ‘Sons of Anarchy’ actors snag roles
The cast of “True Detective” is rounding out more and more, and at least one or two of the names below may be familiar to you.
Let’s start with Emily Rios, who is coming off of a big role on FX’s “The Bridge.” Per a new report from Deadline, Rios is going to play the part of Gabby Behenna on the HBO series. While there is not too much known about this part, we know that she has a deeply traumatic past, and even trying to do simple things for her is reasonably difficult.
Meanwhile, Ronnie Gene Blevins of “Kingdom” (currently on DirecTV) is also on board the show as someone with ties to Vince Vaughn’s character of a career criminal, who is seemingly the man at the center of a massive investigation and potential conspiracy.
The final casting news is that “Sons of Anarchy” alum Timothy V. Murphy is going to be in the first episode. and will play a Russian gangster by the name of Osip Agranov.
The second season of “True Detective” will be filming in California, where the series itself happens to be set this time around. While we will probably have more casting news coming up in the weeks ahead, there is no definite word on a premiere date just yet. We don’t expect the show back on the air until the summer, and that is at the very earliest. However long the show needs to tell this story properly is ultimately going to be good enough for us.
