‘Fargo’ season 2 spoilers: Jeffrey Donovan scores big role; Nick Offerman has offer
The producers of FX’s “Fargo” are finally starting to come closer to sorting out their cast for the upcoming second season, and it includes a number of big names.
We start here with Jeffrey Donovan. According to The Wrap, the actor of “Burn Notice” fame has been cast in the role of Dodd. However, there is not a whole lot information out there about this role just yet. Donovan has been relatively off the grid since playing the part on the USA show for seven seasons, and this could be a great chance to dive in with a very good part.
Meanwhile, relative newcomer Rachel Keller has also been officially cast on the second season, and what we know for now is that she will be taking on the role of Simone. This could be a huge get for Keller, given that Allison Tolman was in a similar position before she was cast on the first season, and ended up being coined one of TV’s rising stars.
The final bit of news here is perhaps the most exciting. There is an offer out to Nick Offerman to appear on the show, but there are no present negotiations. Offerman is wrapping up “Parks and Recreation,” and while this could be a great role for him, we would understand if he did not want to make the immediate jump from one job to the next. Also, it is a big commitment filming “Fargo” out on location. The first season was filmed in Calgary, and there is little reason to think that this would change this time.
