‘Talking Dead’ spoilers: Robert Kirkman, mystery guest, and Keegan-Michael Key appear
Just like tonight is the midseason finale for “The Walking Dead,” the same thing is happening for “Talking Dead” on AMC.
Who is going to join host Chris Hardwick tonight? Well, you’ve got Robert Kirkman first and foremost, which should be significant in that you’ve got someone who is obviously very integral to the development of the series. He’s not the showrunner, but to use an analogy, he knows where all of the bodies are buried.
Meanwhile, you’ve got a rather random comedic guest in “Key & Peele” star Keegan-Michael Key, which we label as such just because this is probably going to be a very serious episode with some sort of big shocker in it. We like Key a whole lot, so maybe he can inject a little bit of humor into the proceedings.
Finally, this is what most fans of the show should be worried about: A mystery guest is turning up. To us, that means we’re going to lose a character tonight, since there is no other reason to keep their identity a secret. We have plenty of suspicions about who could go, with such names as Eugene, Beth, Rosita, and Sasha (who seemed to survive the attach last week) all being pretty high on the list. We feel like Rick and Daryl are for sure safe, and while Carol is in a bad place, she’s become so beloved that there would be revolts if she died. Others, like Abraham, Glenn, and Maggie, do seem as though they all still have stories to tell.
