‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4, episode 9 preview: A Captain Hook – Emma Swan tease

It may have been a long wait for the return of “Once Upon a Time,” but the good news right now is that the wait is over! There is another new episode airing tonight entitled “Fall,” and this is going to be the episode that really is a make-it-or-break-it story for many of the characters in Storybrooke.

At the center of that is Captain Hook and Emma Swan, who are not exactly in the best place known to man. Specifically, “Captain Swan” is in some big trouble. Hook is completely under Rumpelstiltskin’s spell, and without knowing that, Emma could start to believe that he is returning to some of his old ways of being an evil pirate. She certainly would not want to be around that, both for herself and for her son Henry.

In the end, the future for Jennifer Morrison and Colin O’Donoghue’s characters is probably going to be based mostly around timing. Hook has to figure out a week to get out of this spell, and make sure that Emma knows the truth before he does something that legitimately hurts her in a huge way.

After this episode, there will potentially be another two episodes for these characters to really figure this out before the end of the fall season. Obviously, they are going to have a whole lot of time after that in the spring portion of the season, but we are of the belief that there can be a happy relationship for Emma, and still be drama on the show at the same time.
