‘Hawaii Five-0’ season 5 spoilers: ‘CSI: NY,’ ‘Justified’ alum to guest-star

Hawaii Five-0 -It looks like there is going to be a “CSI: NY” reunion of sorts on “Hawaii Five-0” next year.

In a post on Twitter, actor AJ Buckley, who appeared in more than 100 episodes of the CBS crime procedural, made it clear that he is going to be filming sort of appearance on the show moving forward. As for who he is going to play, that part of this is still a mystery, but we imagine that this is news that will be out there at some point in the future.

As for the full natural of this reunion, “Hawaii Five-0” showrunner Peter M. Lenkov worked on “CSI: NY” for many years, and participated in well over 100 episodes of it himself. Therefore, he is more than familiar with the skills that Buckley (who also appeared on “Justified” and “Longmire”) brings to the table.

The other thing that the series really needs more than anything else right now are just viewers. This is a show that has lost steam since its move to Fridays more than a year ago, even though it does consistently put some solid episodes out there. We do think that there is a cool value in bringing some stars from “CSI: NY” over here in what we at least presume is going to be a different part. Wouldn’t be unreal, though, if all of these shows were all connected? We do already know that “Hawaii Five-0” is in the same crime-fighting universe as all of the “NCIS” shows and also “Scorpion.”
