ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7, episode 9 preview: Watch a Nathan Fillion, Ted McGinley scene

Castle -We knew that “Castle” was going to be having quite a bit of fun with the action-movie genre on its next new episode entitled “Last Action Hero,” but we’re now getting a sense of just how much fun they are really going to have.

This sneak peek below features Nathan Fillion’s Rick alongside guest star Ted McGinley and others, and there is a moment in here that is a clear mockery of “The Expendables” franchise. Nothing in here is entirely a shock, but it’s still good fun that reminds you that Richard Castle does not react very well to fire most of the time.

The best part of this sneak peek from a Caskett point of view is him claiming that he doesn’t want to do anything too crazy because his “wife is a cop.” Aww, they’re calling each other husband and wife! All is as it should be.

This episode is going to have a murder investigation sandwiched somewhere in there, but in all honesty, we really would not mind if they stalled on that for as long as humanly possible. We had a pretty serious episode last week, and given that there are probably more of these coming, we’re always down to have a little bit of fun. The silly episodes of “Castle” are typically the ones that we enjoy the most, especially when they give us a chance to see our main characters pushed outside of their comfort zone.

We’ll have more soon, so stay tuned!
