‘Orphan Black’ season 3 spoilers: ‘Shameless’ star Justin Chatwin on board

For its upcoming third season, BBC America’s “Orphan Black” is going to be getting a little bit shameless.

Specifically, the series is casting “Shameless” star Justin Chatwin for some sort of arc! While details are not entirely clear, the actor will at least get a chance to join Tatiana Maslany and company when the series returns with new episodes at some point in the spring.

At the moment, you really cannot be too shocked that the network is being coy on what to expect. After all, “Orphan Black” is a show that puts so much stock in secrets that it does not make a great deal of sense for them to completely reveal every single detail of what is coming up right now.

So what about Chatwin’s future on “Shameless”? At the moment, we would not put a whole lot of stock into the fact that he is joining this show. The two series are not exactly filming at the same time all the time, and he may only be in a small handful of episodes here.

Regardless, we’ll probably find out a little bit more on this subject early next year. The new season of “Shameless” will premiere in January on Showtime, and you will see the latest on the Gallagher family there. If nothing else, this show and “Orphan Black” do have one major thing in common: Both have a habit of getting routinely shafted when it comes to awards season. Nobody at this point knows that better than Maslany with the Emmys.
