‘Call the Midwife’ season 4 spoilers: See Miranda Hart, more in Christmas Special trailer

“Call the Midwife” is certainly one of the most popular shows that the BBC has on its schedule, but there has not exactly been a great deal of opportunity for the network to promote it as of late. The new season does not begin until January, and clearly, the network wanted to wait until the Christmas Special was a little bit closer before they wanted to do anything real with that.

Luckily, we are now at least at a point where this promotion is happening. In the video below, you can see one of the first real clips to really highlight everything that you can expect to see in this episode, and it feels like we are by and large going to be in for a very fun time.

One thing that we do feel pretty sure about is that this promo is in so ways proof that the series is going to be placing Miranda Hart front and center now more than ever with Jessica Raine gone. With that being said, we really cannot blame them. The actress has been a great comedic presence away from the show, and while this may be a drama, she does still have an energy and a spirit that translates over very well.

Of course, beyond the footage of Hart and her character Chummy, there are a few other things worth checking out in the promo. Enjoy it; if nothing else, it should make you that much more excited to see what is going to be coming when the Christmas Special actually airs.
