‘Bones’ season 10, episode 8 preview: Emily Deschanel, David Boreneaz take on crosswords

On the surface, there is something that seems to be absolutely amazing about the next new episode of “Bones.” After all, “The Puzzler in the Pit” seems to be the sort of case that we really love about the show: It’s somewhat-silly, features David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel acting in unusual situations, and ultimately gives us a pretty great mystery to figure out at the same exact time.

As the synopsis below teases, you are going to be seeing a case that is set in the world of crossword puzzles, and it is up to Booth and Brennan to crack this case. Also, Daisy’s child is getting ever closer to arriving, and there are a few more details all about life at the Jeffersonian:

“After a famous crossword puzzle master is found in an urban fracking site, the Jeffersonian team investigates puzzle champ’s fellow players in order to track down the killer. After discovering that the victim was suffering from a mental illness when he died, the team realizes the case is much more complicated than it seemed. Meanwhile, a very pregnant Daisy (guest star Carla Gallo) seeks comfort from her doula, Valentina (guest star Mindy Cohn), and the newest member of the Jeffersonian family arrives.”

Ultimately, we’re getting ever closer here to the “Bones” episode that everyone is really looking forward to seeing, and that is the 200th episode that will bring back some old favorites and a whole lot more.
