‘Doctor Who’ season 8 spoilers: Will Michelle Gomez appear in Christmas Special, season 9?

Is the journey anywhere near over for the latest incarnation of the Master on “Doctor Who“? Based on what Michelle Gomez is saying at this very moment, it certainly does not seem like it.

Speaking to Doctor Who Magazine about the future of her amazing character (otherwise known as Missy), Gomez made it clear that she is not done with the series just yet. With that being said, there are still a variety of ways that this could be taken. Maybe this is a sign that she is appearing in the Christmas Special; after all, this is the only thing that has been filmed that we haven’t seen yet, and we’d imagine that Steven Moffat is working on “Sherlock” right now rather than more “Doctor Who” episodes. He wouldn’t even know when Gomez would be appearing next right now.

The only other possible scenario here is that maybe he and the producers just made it clear that they have more plans for the Master in season 9, but did not make it clear just what those are at the moment.

What we will at least say for the time being is that there is so much more awesomeness that can be tapped from this character. We’ve only scratched the surface of what she is capable of,  and she is not going to take her most-recent defeat lying down. After all, why in the world would she?
