‘The Last Ship’ season 2: How to support Eric Dane’s People’s Choice cause

As we’ve said a few times as of late, there is not a whole lot happening at the moment in regards to the second season of “The Last Ship.” By and large, this is a consequence merely of the show only recently starting production, and them having a fairly quiet set when in comparison to many others that are out there at the moment.

There is at least one little piece of good news to report today, and it comes from the land of the People’s Choice Awards. Specifically, we’re talking about how you can give Dane a little bit of love in the category of Favorite Cable TV Actor. Ballots are already open at the link here, and you can cast a variety of votes in his direction.

Dane does have some pretty stiff competition, but we would say for now that his two biggest threats for the award are Charlie Hunnam, given that this is presently the final season of “Sons of Anarchy,” and also Matt Bomer for the final season of “White Collar.” Both also have headlines away from their shows that also help with their popularity.

If nothing else, Dane may be able to counteract that with both fans of “The Last Ship,” and also some longtime supporters from his “Grey’s Anatomy” days. The Shonda Rhimes drama has always been a favorite of the PCAs, and if many are voting for some of those actors in other categories, they may also be willing to help him out here.
