‘How to Get Away with Murder’ episode 8 preview: Whose pregnancy will play a role? Also, Lila, Sam’s story

Tonight, ABC’s “How to Get Away with Murder” aired an episode that appeared on the surface to be taking things rather slowly, but by the time the hour ended, we had what was definitely a game-changer in the Lila Stangard murder case: She was six weeks pregnant at the time she was killed.

With that in mind come many questions. Did anyone know about this? Does this make Sam more of a suspect? “He Has a Wife” is the title for the next new episode, which sounds like something that may have come out of Lila’s own mouth back when she was alive. Ultimately, it looks like we are going to have an opportunity to hear her say some of those words, given that we are going back in time for a change to see more of what her relationship really was like with Annalise’s husband. This could change everything when it comes to our knowledge of what really happened to her.

Before you do much else, take a look at the full synopsis:

“The team represents a mother who’s on trial for killing her family’s nanny while on heavy medication. Meanwhile, a shocking discovery is revealed in Lila’s case that could change everything for Rebecca and Bonnie’s loyalty to Annalise. In flashbacks, we learn more about Lila and Sam’s relationship.”

To be honest, at this point we hardly care for the case of the week. We’re more curious about what Rebecca is up to, and how we are going to get all the way to the flash-forwards. Supposedly, the night of Sam’s murder is the final episode this fall, or at least pretty darn close to it.
