TV Quick Hits: Jay Leno visits Craig Ferguson; ‘Agent Carter’ spoilers; ‘Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?’ returns
Craig Ferguson’s last guest – Is someone we totally did not see coming in a billion years. Craig Ferguson is going to be getting none other than Jay Leno to be the final person to sit down on “The Late Late Show” when he goes off the air come December 19.
While we don’t believe there is any bad blood or history between Craig or Jay, it is somewhat interesting news, given that David Letterman’s Worldwide Pants is one of the studios behind “The Late Late Show.” Also, you know already how Letterman and Leno feel about each other sometimes.
Some of Craig’s other final guests include Jon Hamm, Betty White, Mila Kunis, Tim Meadows, and many more.
“Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader” returns – In a pretty major sign that Fox is really treading water in the ratings right now, they are going to be bringing back the Jeff Foxworthy game show for another run. We don’t expect any changes to the format, but it’ll probably provide competent ratings while the network tries to get itself together.
“Agent Carter” casting – If you loved seeing Bridget Regan on “White Collar” or “Beauty and the Beast” recently, you may be thrilled to know that the actress is also coming on board the upcoming ABC show.
The folks over at Marvel themselves reported today that Regan will be joining their massive universe as Dottie, the next-door neighbor of Peggy (Hayley Atwell) who seems to be at least on the surface a relatively normal woman from Iowa. That could change very early on in the show.
