‘The Good Wife’ season 6 spoilers: Dylan Baker slates return as Colin Sweeney
Colin Sweeney is one of the more-popular characters within the world of “The Good Wife,” so with that in mind, isn’t it time to start getting a little bit excited?
According to a new Entertainment Weekly report, Dylan Baker is going to return for his Emmy-nominated role in at least one episode of the CBS favorite airing in 2015. Not only that, but Laura Benanti, who is currently busy on “Nashville,” will also be coming over for another stint as Renata, which should really make this all the more fun in the end.
In a statement, co-creator Robert King had the following to say about this glorious news:
“Colin Sweeney wants the firm to sue a TV show for defamation after the show steals his character, and makes it look like he killed his first wife. Laura Benanti also returns as his estranged third wife, Renata, who decides to testify against him in court.”
We imagine that it must be quite a luxury for a show like “The Good Wife” to be able to continually bring on board great actors who are familiar to the show, capable of critical acclaim, and someone find room in their schedules. Admittedly, there are probably a few occasions in here where the show has just gotten lucky that someone hasn’t been completely swooped up for another series, but sometimes a little bit of luck is just something you have to hope for within the world of TV.
There are still some episodes of “The Good Wife” coming up this fall, and we will have more on them soon.
