‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 7 spoilers: Katey Sagal on Gemma’s many layers

If you love the Gemma character on “Sons of Anarchy,” then you definitely have just about every reason in the world to be glued to your television sets come Tuesday night. After all, this is going to be a huge episode for the character.

What we know for sure, per Entertainment Weekly, is that there will be a big scene between Katey Sagal’s character and Jarry (Annabeth Gish) that will involve the former handing out some threats. There is also apparently going to be a scene involving her dishing out advice to Rat, and Sagal tells the website that still getting the chance to do such things is one of the reasons why she likes playing this part so much:

“Even though there’s all this major drama in her life—you know, the secret that just keeps on giving—it’s interesting to see that she’s also who she is … She’s that person that does have that kind of advice, that is somewhat wise in her matriarch position. That’s the writers’ good storytelling: You don’t have everybody one note. They are three-dimensional characters.”

Oh, and in case you forgot, creator Kurt Sutter told the magazine that there is going to be a major character who dies within the next two episodes, and it is not going to be Juice. Bobby seems to be a good possibility based on where he is right now, but doesn’t that feel pretty obvious? We at least thing so at the moment.

It’s hard to really spend too much time speculating on all of this, given that this is a show that has so much going on, and things can twist and turn in a blink. For example, this is not going to be the same show when Jax learns the truth about Tara’s death.
