‘Shark Tank’ preview: Bombas, Hammer and Nails, and the premiere

Shark Tank -It feels like it’s been a long time since we’ve conducted a “Shark Tank” preview, and for good reason. The show hasn’t been on for the better part of four months!

With that being said, we’re now going to be back for every episode with a look at the latest products, both in the forms of full reviews and also previews. Let’s start today with a look at the first of two episodes premiering on Friday night; you can see the synopsis below for some insight into what to expect:

“A couple from Ft. Worth, TX, turned tragedy into inspiration and devised a unique way to swaddle a baby, which could be a sanity saver for exhausted parents; a gentleman from Los Angeles, CA, wants to put the “man” in manicure with his nail salon for guys only; two men from New York believe they have designed a better version of the athletic sock; and two college students from Harrisonburg, VA, invented a way to stay recharged with their free mobile phone charging station.”

For now, here are the two products we’d like to highlight.

Bombas – A special brand of athletic sock that was designed to cater to the foot in the same way that a specialized athletic shoe does. (Check out their site here.) The product seems nice enough, and they also donate socks often to homeless shelters in need. Still, socks are one of those purchases that it is hard to sell customers to buy.

Hammer and Nails – An interesting idea for a salon for men, which includes getting getting a comfortable chair and a TV with remote control. This makes getting a manicure and pedicure different … maybe. There’s potential here, but the challenge is almost the same: Convincing customers that they need this.
