‘Reign’ season 2 spoilers: ‘Drawn and Quartered’ leads to consequences
Sometimes with your favorite TV shows, you see a little bit of a lull before things start to get fully crazy. When it comes to “Reign” season 2, that is not going to be happening at all.
The new season is starting off with an episode entitled “The Plague,” which should give you a pretty basic indication of just how terrible life is going to be in France for some. Unfortunately, for our Queen Mary, this is only going to be the beginning of her troubles. In the second episode, entitled “Drawn and Quartered,” she is going to have to learn a few hard lessons about atonement. The CW released the synopsis for this October 9 installment today, and you can read all about it right now below:
“In the aftermath of the plague, a powerful lord (guest star Craig Parker) discovers that Mary (Adelaide Kane) was responsible for the death of his son and demands vengeance, testing the loyalties of Mary, Francis (Toby Regbo) and Catherine (Megan Follows). Francis returns to the castle with Lola (Anna Popplewell) and their newborn son, creating tension with Mary. Greer (Celina Sinden) is torn by her loyalty to her fiancé, Lord Castleroy (guest star Michael Therriault), who blames Leith (Jonathan Keltz) for his daughter’s demise. Meanwhile, Kenna (Caitlin Stasey) urges Bash (Torrance Coombs) to be formally recognized in his new role.”
This story is basically a number of different things. From one vantage point, this is a coming-of-age story for Mary, as she tries to learn to be okay with such things as Lola and Francis being around each other. However, at the same time she cannot obsess too much over that, given that she has so many other higher responsibilities to deal with due to her role as a responsible party at the castle.
