‘Arrow’ season 3 spoilers: When will Ra’s al Ghul first appear?
While you may know that Ra’s al Ghul is going to be the Big Bad of “Arrow” season 3, the one thing that we can say on the subject today is that you really should not expect to see the character right away.
According to a new report from TVLine, it will be episode 4 when we actually see the character (check out the casting here) on the show, which poses an interesting question: Will he interact with Malcolm Merlyn before anyone else? This episode is set to be heavy on John Barrowman, and it has already been revealed that he and Ra’s do have a connection in their past. “The Magician” seems like the appropriate place for this story to begin.
With this being said, do not expect Ra’s to butt heads with Oliver Queen right away. Executive producer Greg Berlanti tells the website that the very latest you could see the two characters meet is in episode 9, where they share a very memorable scene.
The expectations for Ra’s are high, and for largely two reasons. First, this is one of the most iconic characters in all of the DC Universe, and there is already backlash about them not casting Liam Neeson, though we feel like that is a story that really got way too much attention since there’s a difference between Liam saying in theory that he would love to play the part, and then sitting down and actually making it happen.
We’re still confident that the actor behind the part will do a great job.
